The opportunity:
We’re hiring a Director of Talent Acquisition for our well-respected recruiting team. As an action-oriented strategic leader who’s passionate about creating equitable hiring processes and building diverse teams, this role will help shape our go-to-market hiring plans across our clinical, engineering and business functions. Additionally, the Director is responsible for building and structuring the recruiting team for success and future growth by combining a data-driven approach and a people-first mindset. This role will require some in-person work at our New York Center and will report into our SVP of People & Culture.
What you’ll do:
- Lead, inspire, and develop recruiters and enhance the recruiting function at the company
- Establish and execute hiring strategies to reach company hiring goals (process, recruiting tech stack, employer brand)
- Drive decisions with data: collect and use data to make informed choices, drive efficiency, and communicate challenges and progress to key partners; and evaluate pipeline health and conversion metrics to identify trends
- Roll out plans that enables diversity in hiring across the organization; ensure our hiring practices are inclusive and our interviewers receive adequate coaching to create a top-class experience where candidates from different backgrounds feel welcomed
- Facilitate shared accountability with the business and hiring managers working with you as partners
What you’ll need:
- 3+ years experience leading a recruiting team during a high growth stage with the proven ability to coach, empower, and develop a team
- 4+ years of start-up experience
- Experience recruiting for software engineers
- Ability to build trusted partnerships at all levels of the organization
- Passionate about building diverse, values-driven teams
- Proven track record to design and communicate clear processes, and an analytical, yet creative, approach to problem-solving
- A master in the following recruiting workflow areas:
- hiring manager relationship development
- interview process revision or build-out
- debrief and feedback flow from interview teams
- training new hiring managers
- Strong bias for action and ability to manage both tactically (go deep) and strategically
- Flexibility to adjust to a growing, mission-driven start-up environment
