You Are
As an Advanced AI Research Scientist Associate Director, you will translate real-world problems into practical, scalable AI and Machine Learning solutions.
- You will lead teams, guide exploration of new methodologies, and implement cutting-edge algorithms with appropriate architectures to solve real-world problems.
- You possess a deep understanding of generative AI, LLMs, and multi-modal models, focusing on driving innovation by applying these techniques to new business scenarios.
- You will train and fine-tune generative AI models as needed and evaluate their effectiveness.
- You will justify the value of innovative AI approaches in business contexts and develop methodologies to demonstrate their benefits.
- You will set research priorities and direct research strategies for both short-term and long-term projects.
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business and technical stakeholders, to achieve project goals.
The Work
- Participate in discussions to gather business requirements and provide AI expertise and solution options.
- Design, develop, and implement advanced AI/ML models, especially LLMs and Gen AI models, from scratch or foundation models using self-supervised learning, transfer learning, and fine-tuning.
- Develop sophisticated Gen AI applications, including generative agents and multi-model architectures for complex tasks.
- Lead technical teams and foster AI expertise within the broader team, including offshore teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify requirements and ensure solutions meet expectations.
- Develop and execute project plans, including timelines and infrastructure considerations.
- Implement value justification strategies, estimate costs, and calculate ROI for AI solutions.
- Create comprehensive technical documentation to facilitate understanding, knowledge transfer, and future development.
- Engage with academic partners to stay at the forefront of AI, providing leadership on trends, use cases, opportunities, and risks.
Travel may be required, with the extent varying based on business needs.
Here's What You Need
- Minimum 7 years in designing and developing neural network models, especially deep learning and foundation models.
- At least 6 years of experience in building and fine-tuning foundation models, including LLMs and multi-modal models.
- Strong knowledge of technologies, modalities, and architecture patterns in the Generate AI space.
- Experience with deep learning, neural networks, training large models, and GPU utilization.
- Familiarity with computer architecture and GPU fundamentals.
- Proven experience in performance modeling at the processor and system level.
- At least 4 years of team management or mentoring experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, with a minimum of 12 years of professional experience (or 6 years if holding an associate’s degree).
