Description
General Information:
Hitachi Energy is seeking a 2nd Shift Assembler/Material Handler for its Mt. Pleasant, PA facility.
Mission Statement: Our mission is to design and manufacture a high-quality, cost-effective Dead Tank Breaker to exceed customer expectations.
Your Responsibilities:
- Makes sub-assemblies and complete assemblies using hand and power tools, jigs, and fixtures; sets up machines.
- Assembles wires and makes necessary repairs.
- Prepares assemblies for painting and touches up marred painted surfaces after assembly.
- Ensures correct and neat appearance of wiring and assembly, including adjustments, operation, and lubrication of all assemblies.
- Reads detailed assembly drawings and wiring diagrams and works to specified tolerances.
- Moves and loads materials and products as necessary.
- Reports needed maintenance and repairs of machine tools to the supervisor.
- Prepares daily timecards and reports to the supervisor upon completing assemblies.
- Uses hand trucks, power trucks, or other devices to move equipment and materials.
- Maintains cleanliness and order of own work area; maintains equipment and tools.
- Assists with on-the-job training and performs other duties of equal or lower classification as directed.
- Practices safe work habits and uses personal protective equipment properly.
- Counts pieces, reports shortages, excesses, spoilage, and malfunctions to the supervisor.

Your Background:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Candidate must have valid work authorization to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
