Position Summary: The Kennel Technician maintains the Pet Hotel and the Veterinary Hospital through proper cleaning and appropriate animal care. They are responsible for the feeding and well being of Patients in Boarding, as well as the general upkeep of The Veterinary Hospital and Pet Hotel.
Must be able to work weekend split shifts and some weekdays.
Compensation: $19 an hour.
This individual needs be courteous, professional in manner and behavior, and detail oriented about instructions and protocols. They must be willing to work with clients and patients.
Primary Responsibilities: Ultimately, the kennel Technician position is responsible for the smooth interaction between the Boarding Patients and Clients and the clinic. They are to ensure customer satisfaction through appropriate animal husbandry and facility maintenance. • Feeding of Boarding Patients on a twice daily basis • Cleaning and maintenance of boarding units of a daily basis • Rotation of Canine Boarders through the play yard and following of other Client instructions. • Maintaining the play yards, Pet Hotel, and Veterinary Hospital as per instructed. • Performing miscellaneous tasks as instructed by the Manager or Staff Doctor. • Accurately recording information on Boarding Forms and Kennel Cards daily • Vigilantly following medical instructions for boarders always. • Sweeping and mopping the Pet Hotel and Veterinary Hospital on a daily basis • Removing discarded materials from the premises. • Performing Baths and Grooming on Patients as requested • Washing, drying, and folding of laundry in The Pet Hotel and Veterinary Hospital
Secondary Responsibilities: • Assisting with the daily tasks of the Veterinary Technician and/or Front Desk Receptionist positions as needed • Attending Staff Meetings • Answering phones and directing them to the appropriate individuals
