Overview
Seeking a Swine Veterinarian to lead Animal Health and Welfare activities in Indiana (Hagerstown).
Responsible for managing health programs from farrow to finish, including electronic sow feeding, biosecurity, and open pen gestation.
Develop and implement health improvement plans, oversee medication and vaccination protocols, and monitor animal wellbeing through farm observations.
Order diagnostics, manage budgets, and maintain pharmaceutical relationships.
Create and review SOPs, coordinate biosecurity efforts, and provide hands-on training to staff.
Participate in industry animal care groups and represent the company externally.
Requires a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, strong problem-solving skills, goal-oriented mindset, and ability to travel approximately one week per month.
