Responsibilities: Administration, teaching, and course coordination within the program. Managing the clinical education component of the curriculum, including site development, student assignment, orientation of preceptors, student supervision, and assessment. Maintaining records; advising; providing service to the program, including meeting with prospective students, families, recruitment events, and representing the program to the community as required. Participation in program and clinical processes and procedures. Minimum requirements for the position: DNP, PhD, or DNAP. Current certification by NBCRNA. Three years of full-time clinical practice as a CRNA. Prior teaching and student supervision are preferred. This position is a founding program director position with the expectation of initial accreditation for the program. Obligations of the DNP NAP Program Director: Develop and oversee curriculum (classes, class structure, and content) that is appropriate for doctorally prepared APRNs. Lead, meet, and maintain accreditation standards. Oversee all staff members and full-time/adjunct faculty teaching in the program. Engage in teaching, scholarship, and service. Manage daily operation of the program. Work with the CAO, CFO, and Campus President to develop a program budget and maintain program expenses. Actively engage in student recruitment, admissions, and progression. Lead evaluation of the program and student outcomes. Additional Requirements: Earned doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DNP) from a regionally accredited College or University. Five or more years of clinical experience in the certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) role. Minimum of four years’ experience of teaching/education/administrative experience preferred. Experience in distance education instructional methods. Evidence of formal instruction in curriculum development, evaluation, and instruction. Current certification/recertification by the National Board on Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Current license or eligibility for an active & unencumbered license as a RN and APRN/CRNA in Tennessee. Demonstrated knowledge of environmental issues that may influence the program and nurse anesthesia practice by engaging in professional development. Demonstrated record of excellence in academic leadership and teaching. Online teaching experience (including the use of learning technologies) and program administrative experience is preferred. Must be able to develop knowledge of and respect for those of differing cultures and backgrounds and possess the skills to engage with diverse populations. Exceptional leadership skills including an ability to work effectively within a team that is comprised of multiple stakeholders such as faculty, senior administration, staff, and students. Demonstrated ability to provide support and mentorship for program faculty team. Willingness to engage with the Institution and the faculty to share knowledge and expertise. About the Company
