North Memorial Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic physician leader to join our team. This is a blended clinical and administrative position with 0.10 FTE dedicated to the physician lead, Cardiologist (Non-Invasive) component and the remainder of the FTE dedicated to a clinical component.

Physician shall serve as the Provider Specialty Care Lead for HVI. This entails (including but not limited to) performing the following roles and responsibilities:
- Manages provider human resource related matters including provider recruitment, education staffing, scheduling, orientation, and onboarding. Provides specific feedback, coaching, conflict resolution and recognition to others about performance on an ongoing and timely basis, and utilizes informal and formal improvement processes as needed.
- Leads regular meetings with providers, the operations leadership and service line directors to discuss quality metrics, patient satisfaction scores, patient access, and relevant operational matters.
- Provides leadership within assigned area to develop, coordinate, implement, and improve systems to deliver unmatched customer service.
- Provides leadership, in collaboration with other providers and operational leaders, to achieve and maintain appropriate levels of program accreditation and/or regulatory compliance.
- Ensures appropriate staffing levels and scheduling in partnership with the service line directors and operational dyad that meets organizational needs while maximizing productivity.
- Promotes an environment conducive to provider and team member satisfaction and retention while assuring a respectful work environment.
- Provides for and facilitates medical student, resident, and post graduate education as needed.
- Works with service line and system leadership to formulate key customer care, financial and or operational outcomes and metrics.
- Leverages and adheres to systems and processes that drive accountability for customer care, financial and operational outcomes.
- Works effectively with team colleagues and other key partners to execute divisional and/or departmental initiatives and day-to-day operations.
- Effectively communicates with teammates and key partners.
- Develops talent within the team, including acquiring, engaging, and retaining.
- Partners with service line and operational leadership to design staffing, organization and schedules for efficient resource and team member utilization.
- Understands, tracks and focuses the team on metrics that measure key business outcomes.
- Translates business support vision and strategies to team level and engages and empowers team members to meet customer's needs in innovative ways.
Cardiologist (Non-Invasive) Responsibilities:
- Regularly seeing patients in outpatient non-invasive cardiology clinic at Robbinsdale, Maple Grove and outreach sites. This will involve seeing new and follow-up patients.
- Participating in the inpatient cardiology rounding service.
- Participating in the noninvasive cardiology call schedule.
- Participating in reading rest/stress echoes and nuclear studies; performing TEEs and cardioversions.
Position Qualifications:
- Board certified in Cardiology
- Current State of Minnesota Medical Doctor license
- Valid DEA Registration
- CT training desired, but not necessary
- Advanced training in Leadership - course work completed either through higher learning and/or professional academy.
- 3-5 years clinical practice with some clinical/project leadership and/or governance role, including process leadership across an enterprise or division and working with multiple stakeholders.
- Knowledge of hiring, performance management (behavioral and clinical), and change management preferred.
- Knowledge of, or experience in, the management and improvement of clinical quality preferred.
- Collaborating with dyad partner to manage clinical operations preferred.
- Working understanding of insurance reimbursement and alternative payment models preferred.
