Must Have Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Project Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer or Construction Manager
- Bachelor Degree (Engineering, Architecture, Construction)
- Minimum 2 years experience as a QC Manager
- CQM Certification
- Must be able to pass background check for base pass clearance
- EM-385 OSHA Certification
- Federal construction experience (preferably NAVFAC and USACE)
Job Summary:
Responsible for understanding, coordinating, documenting, and overseeing the Quality Control Program on various construction contracts. Must be able to understand, translate, and communicate project technical details and report findings to Project team and Client as they relate to the Quality Management System.
Day to Day:
- Manage the Quality Control Program for a construction contract. This includes having a solid understanding of a variety of technical scopes that include but not limited to: civil work, site utilities, all plumbing systems, fire suppression systems, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, electrical systems, electronic communication systems, building exterior, interior finishes, roofing systems, testing and commissioning.
- Perform daily contract required inspections and ensure adherence to company SOPs/policies, contract documents, installation standards and applicable State and federal laws and codes.
- Understand, translate and communicate project technical details to project team
- Lead quality investigations on contract issues.
- Document quality control through specified formats, including job notes, meeting minutes, daily reports, and photos.
- Lead communications with government, corporate, and subcontractor personnel regarding quality control status and adjustments.
- Maintain quality control deficiency log and issue deficiency notifications.
- Schedule third party testing and collect, submit, and maintain all required reports.
- Adhere to site safety and health standards.
- Review submittals for compliance with contract documents, installation standards and applicable State and federal laws and codes.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
