Stationary Engineer 2

(SCC) on McNeil Island!
The hours for this position are Wednesday - Saturday, 6:00 am - 4:00 pm. As a Stationary Engineer 2, you'll perform skilled engineering and repair work related to boiler and HVAC operations. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of a high-pressure steam plant, which includes two high-pressure boilers supplying steam to the SCC facility and one boiler at the Fire Station/Warehouse. This role is essential for maintaining a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment for our residents and staff. Note:
SCC employees also receive an additional $10 per day premium pay, a free ORCA card for transportation, and ferry transportation to McNeil Island. Opportunities for on-site work at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay. Three years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and/or repair of stationary (or marine) high-pressure boilers and heating systems. Or, a certificate of completion of an advanced Stationary Engineer course from an accredited vocational/technical school or community college, plus two years of relevant experience. Or, one year of State service as a
Stationary Engineer 1 . And, a valid driver's license free from serious traffic violations. Some of what you will do:
Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and installations of HVAC and boiler systems. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. Monitor system performance. Troubleshoot issues promptly. Value you bring:
