The Deputy Director of Staffing Management will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:
- Supervises a team of Staffing Specialists
- Ensures job descriptions are clear, up to date, and compliant with all local, state and federal regulations
- Assists with the management of Personnel Action Requests (PAR), which includes but is not limited to internal and external hiring, promotions, salary adjustments, title changes and provisional status changes
- Ensures all personnel action requests are vetted and properly processed within prescribed timeframes
- Manages the unit’s recruitment tracker/database
- Provides professional recruitment expertise and support in the design, development, and management of the agency's recruitment process.
- Develops, monitors, and updates best practice guides and professional development material for hiring managers and agency staff members
- Evaluates and examines highly sensitive and confidential documents
- Provides strategic and operational human resources advisement and support
- Provides support/orientation and training on ACS’ recruitment, hiring and compensation practices.
- Evaluates and confirms the accuracy of all required titles, salaries, justifications, qualifications and proper coding
- Coordinates and monitors key recruitment metrics within the Office of Human Resources
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders which may include Agency Chief of Staff, Divisional Liaisons, NYCAPS, DCAS, Office of Management and Budget, etc.
