The Deputy Director of Staffing Management will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties: Supervises a team of Staffing Specialists Ensures job descriptions are clear, up to date, and compliant with all local, state and federal regulations Assists with the management of Personnel Action Requests (PAR), which includes but is not limited to internal and external hiring, promotions, salary adjustments, title changes and provisional status changes Ensures all personnel action requests are vetted and properly processed within prescribed timeframes Manages the unit’s recruitment tracker/database Provides professional recruitment expertise and support in the design, development, and management of the agency's recruitment process. Develops, monitors, and updates best practice guides and professional development material for hiring managers and agency staff members Evaluates and examines highly sensitive and confidential documents Provides strategic and operational human resources advisement and support Provides support/orientation and training on ACS’ recruitment, hiring and compensation practices. Evaluates and confirms the accuracy of all required titles, salaries, justifications, qualifications and proper coding Coordinates and monitors key recruitment metrics within the Office of Human Resources Liaise with internal and external stakeholders which may include Agency Chief of Staff, Divisional Liaisons, NYCAPS, DCAS, Office of Management and Budget, etc. Accountability and Professionalism – Demonstrates enthusiasm for and commitment to the position and accepts responsibility for personal actions.
