Mission: To clean and maintain facilities and grounds.
Principal Accountabilities
Plant Janitor
Objective: To maintain plant facilities in a clean, orderly manner.
Essential Job Functions:
- Cleans offices, lunchrooms, and bathrooms.
- Cleans and controls dust in manufacturing areas.
- Scrapes floors, vacuums dust, and cleans in wax molding and assembly areas.
- Vacuums carpets.
- Cleans glass and other surfaces, including light fixtures, stairs, and lockers.
- Empties trash receptacles.
Other (Marginal) Job Functions
- Maintains janitorial supplies and provides orders to supervisor.
Grounds
Objective: To maintain grounds in a clean manner.
- Removes trash from grounds surrounding the plant.
- Empties trash receptacles.
Safety
Objective: To take responsibility for and demonstrate safe work practices.
- Adheres to plant and department safety rules.
- Safely operates all equipment and tools.
- Identifies and reports safety problems.
- May be required to work with hazardous waste.
Other Responsibilities
Performs other tasks as assigned.
Essential Equipment, Vehicles, Tools, and Machinery:
- Forklift (SSBO, TBO only)
- Mop and bucket
- Vacuum
- Buffer
- Scrubber
- Step ladder
Training
- Training is provided on the job.
- Completion of PCC's Forklift Driving Safety Certification Training required (SSBO, TBO).
- May be required to complete hazardous waste management training.
Qualifications
- Basic ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Physical ability to perform the essential job functions.
- Valid driver's license to operate PCC vehicles.
