Head Cheer Coach
to lead our high school cheerleading program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about cheerleading, committed to fostering a positive team culture, and dedicated to the personal and athletic development of student-athletes. This position requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with school administrators, parents, and the athletic department. Key Responsibilities: Plan, organize, and lead all aspects of the high school cheer program, including tryouts, practices, performances, and competitions. Develop and implement training programs focused on skill development, safety, and teamwork. Foster a positive and supportive environment for all team members. Ensure compliance with all school district, state, and national cheerleading rules and regulations. Coordinate and supervise game-day performances, pep rallies, and community events. Collaborate with athletic directors and school administrators to support the program’s success. Maintain responsibility for team fundraising, budgeting, and uniform/equipment management. Serve as a mentor and role model to student-athletes, promoting academic success and personal growth. Implement and enforce safety protocols, including proper stunt progression and injury prevention practices. Qualifications/Requirements:
NFHS Certification Completion of all OSAA Certifications Completion of ODE Steroid Test Completion of Safe Schools training CPR and First Aid certification Ability to pass a background check Prior coaching or cheerleading experience (high school, college, or competitive level) Strong knowledge of cheer techniques, stunting, tumbling, and game-day performance traditions Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills For further information, contact the Athletics/Activities Office at: smithb@eaglepnt.k12.or.us or 541-830-6396 How to Apply: Please click here to begin your application:
