About the job
As an Epi Hardware Technician on the Raxium team, you will diagnose and solve problems quickly, repair root cause failures, and enable the team to deliver the cycles of learning required. Your primary responsibilities will be performing preventative maintenance (PM) and keeping epitaxy (Epi) equipment up and running. You'll regularly communicate with Engineers, Operators, and Technicians, relaying equipment status and new developments. You will log tool status in MES, plan for upcoming PMs, and maximize uptime. You'll perform mechanical assembly, parts cleaning, helium leak detection, and electrical troubleshooting on semiconductor equipment. This includes documenting all work done for future reference and contributing to Continuous Improvement efforts. You will also generate SOPs and specifications for PMs and troubleshooting.
Google's Raxium display group has established a revolutionary semiconductor materials display technology that enables new functionality in display products, bringing to users a closer and more natural linkage between the digital and physical realms in applications such as augmented reality (AR) and light-field display. With start-up roots and a state-of-the-art compound semiconductor fab in Silicon Valley, Raxium is seeking to build upon its engineering team with an aim to disrupt next-generation display markets.
Responsibilities
- Execute scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) procedures on epitaxial (Epi) reactors and associated support equipment, adhering to established timelines and protocols.
- Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment to minimize the likelihood of future failures and out-of-control situations.
- Support daily quartz hardware cleaning in chlorine etcher or vacuum bake oven and cleaning and rebuilding reactor subsystems (filters, valve assemblies).
- Conduct helium leak testing procedures to identify and quantify leaks in various components and systems.
- Handle and manipulate pyrophoric materials safely in accordance with established safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.
