Overview
The Custodial Specialist plays a critical role in providing clean laundry for staff and clients. The Custodial Specialist is essential in managing the inventory of linen, laundry, and belongings, as well as ensuring complete quality control. This role involves communication between different departments to solve problems and maintain patient satisfaction while using a computer to tag and record patient belongings. Essential Job Functions
Able to stand for a long period of time Completes laundry duties relating to all Fora Health teams. Properly sorts, launders, and sanitizes house laundry and patient belongings per Fora Health policies and procedures. Folds and stores house laundry per Fora Health policies and procedures. Transports items including clean and soiled house laundry and patient belongings to the appropriate storage and collection areas per Fora Health policies and procedures. Routinely inspects house laundry for wear and tear, identifying worn and torn items to maintain inventory. Maintains the laundry area in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition. Sanitizes all patient belongings, identifying contraband and determining the method of processing for items that cant be laundered per Fora Health policies and procedures. General housekeeping as needed. Responds to accidents and custodial emergencies as needed. Additional Job Responsibilities

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Able to stand for a long period of time. Effectively communicates both verbally and in writing to support daily collaboration across multiple departments. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite is advantageous for this role. Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) for documenting patient belongings is a plus. Able to identify and perform basic assessment of laundry issues. This position also requires the ability to work in multiple Portland area facilities. Bilingual applicants encouraged to apply. Verification of sobriety, per Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR) standards. DHS Background Check Approval or alternate Criminal History Check agency approval. Successful completion of Drug Test upon hire. Documentation of Tuberculosis test and/or evaluation with negative results or evidence of non-communicability. WORKING CONDITIONS
Conversing with others in person and by phone. Reading computer screens, correspondence, forms, etc. Sitting and standing for long periods of time. Moving from one area of the facility to another. Bending and kneeling. Identifying clients and staff members. Lifting and moving up to 75 pounds. Ascending and descending stairs. Working with cleaning chemicals. Working with a steam cleaning machine. Working with a pressure washer. HOURS AND PAY
This is a full-time position earning $19.93 - $20.53 per hour (depending upon experience) working 40 hours per week. This position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime compensation. LOCATION
