The Job:
Harbor Care seeks a Master's Level Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Social worker, or related major, to join our team as a Licensed School-based Mental Health Clinician working within the school systems of our community, therapeutically supporting students of all ages and helping them overcome mental and emotional issues.
This position is eligible for a $5,000 Sign-On Bonus
School-based Mental Health Clinicians will listen to clients and ask questions to help understand their problems and develop strategies to improve their lives. The counselor will diagnose, treat, and help clients create coping strategies. Will counsel, listen, support, and monitor the client for progress. Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with school staff and other providers in order to effectively serve all clients. Enhance awareness of mental health needs; promote community understanding of mental health and to enhance community response to mental health problems. All qualified candidates must have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and reliable vehicle.

Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs):
Harbor Care Clinicians have the opportunity to participate in the wonderful Student Loan Repayment Program called the National Health Services Corps (NHSC). Eligibility for student loan repayment through the National Health Service Corps, has several programs awarding 50K-250K for a 2-6-year commitment, with opportunity for continuation. Awards can be used to make lump sum or monthly student loan payments. Employees also qualify for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program to have any remaining balance forgiven after 10 years of employment. Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The assigned duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide crisis intervention, diagnostic evaluation and therapy to clients utilizing various treatment modalities (i.e. individual, family, group and play therapy as clinically indicated and meet targeted productivity standards as agreed upon) Provide appropriate mental health counseling, within scope of practice, to students individually and/or in small groups *Clinicians will have the ability to provide supports onsite, through offsite Telehealth capability, and/or in-home Work collaboratively with school administration and staff, Harbor Care staff, as well as clients and families Provide assistance to colleagues in order to optimize the delivery of services to the client population Supports a holistic, strength based, trauma informed therapeutic approach to care Provide appropriate and on-going documentation including, but not limited to, progress notes, diagnostic evaluation, treatment plans, and termination summaries in a timely manner Submit all administrative and billing paperwork within the specified time frames Attend meetings and other team processes as required Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervising staff Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement
Participates in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement activities for Harbor Care Ensures compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations Utilize supervision effectively by sharing pertinent information and accept performance feedback to incorporate into work plan and recalibrate approach and make improvements Seek and accept guidance to manage difficult cases Knowledge
The Licensed School-based Mental Health Clinician will possess a Master's Level in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or related. Candidates must possess or be eligible for and working towards New Hampshire State License. Clinician will possess knowledge of major mental illnesses and appropriate treatment interventions, and should be familiar/have some understanding with various psychotherapies:
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Family Therapy Group Therapy Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) Play Therapy Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Supportive Therapy Experience
Three to four years working in a mental health setting. Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center is a plus. Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written. Experience providing case notes and properly documenting assessments. Strong MS Office skills. Must understand and protect client confidentiality.
