Overview
The IT Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Microsoft 365 environment. This role involves ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive for Business. Additionally, the role includes oversight of the helpdesk, management of all laptops, desktops, and tablets, and infrastructure and project management for infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft 365 services and solutions. Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and security of the Microsoft 365 environment. Implement and manage security policies, compliance measures, and data protection strategies. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Microsoft 365-related issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Microsoft 365 services with other IT systems. Develop and maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures. Stay current with Microsoft 365 updates, features, and best practices. Conduct training sessions and workshops for end-users on Microsoft 365 tools and features. Oversee the helpdesk operations to ensure timely and effective support. Manage inventory of all laptops, desktops, and tablets, including hardware refresh cycles. Seamless on-boarding of new employees; managing the off-boarding process Lead infrastructure projects, ensuring timely and successful completion. Support application roll-out in a manufacturing environment, ensuring necessary hardware (e.g., scan guns, tablets, tablet mounts, printers) is in place. Provide support for remote workers, managing depot services provided by the MSP. Collaboratively work with the MSP to ensure seamless service delivery. Interact with and serve end-users in a customer-centric manner, ensuring high levels of satisfaction. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience in managing Microsoft 365 environments. Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive for Business. Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasks. Familiarity with security and compliance features in Microsoft 365. Intune experience. Experience in hybrid Entra/AD environments. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience in helpdesk management and inventory management. Project management skills with a track record of successful infrastructure projects. Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert or other relevant certifications. Experience with hybrid environments and migration to Microsoft 365. Knowledge of networking and cloud infrastructure. Personal Attributes:
