The J.S. Miller Group PLLC, a Washington D.C. "virtual" based accounting firm (celebrating its 13th year) with an office in Washington D.C., wishes to hire a full-time Accounting Manager who lives within driving distance to the Washington D.C. area to oversee several for-profit and not-for-profit clients. Our firm is fast growing, and there's much more to come. The position is an opportunity to be a leader within a fast-growing firm. We're a boutique firm with specialized offerings, client focus, and an outstanding team and practice.
This position includes a flexible work schedule, and can work from home or in alternate locations most of the time. You must have a CPA or be able to activate the CPA license and work in the United States of America. You must have a minimum of 5+ years of public accounting experience, specifically in the following areas:
Bookkeeping Reviews and monthly closing entries
Communicate with Clients daily
Present materials to client management
Must understand financial statements and related financial metrics
Cash Management
Oversee audit work and work directly with the client's audit team
Understanding of Tax and Tax concepts for both for-profit and not-for-profit
Onboard new clients
Understanding or willingness to learn Intuit QBO
Must demonstrate an understanding of accounting and accounting concepts.
