Leadenhall Search & Selection are currently recruiting for a senior Sales Manager on behalf of a fast growing Energy Research and Insights advisory firm in the Houston Area. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to work in a fast paced boutique firm providing differentiated and actionable insights on energy markets, policy, and geopolitics. They help traders, asset managers and corporate leaders manage energy risks and opportunities.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing the broader Sales Team and helping shape longer term sales strategies.
- Collaborating with existing sales team to help grow client base through generating leads, sales pipeline management, building relationships, and closing deals.
- Collaborating with existing team of analysts to plan and execute the firm’s strategic expansion into new markets and verticals in the energy and financial industries.
- Monitoring trends in energy policy, geopolitics, commodity trading, and investing to identify new business opportunities
- Collaborating with the marketing team on trade show presence, development of sales collateral, and digital lead generation and promotion.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of ten years of demonstrated and proven success in energy research sales.
- Ability to prioritize and maintain many responsibilities simultaneously.
- Experience working with customers to understand market intelligence needs and tying that back to the business value involved in enterprise-wide data products (having well established connections to financial institutions, hedge funds, etc. is a strong plus).
- Extensive knowledge of sales, marketing, and lead generation software platforms.
- Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented and persuasive.
