HIGHLAND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
The Weld RE-9 School District headquartered in Ault, Colorado has an opening for a part-time (24 hours per week) Elementary School Counselor for the 2025-2026 school year.
Duties:
Support classroom teachers with behavior intervention Oversee 504 plans as well as district progress monitoring testing Be a strong supporter of the classroom teacher Assist Principal with supervision (activities, playground and hall duty) Actively interact with students both in and out of the classroom Lead teachers in providing social and emotional learning Ensure students have access to needed materials such as school supplies Serve as building homeless student liaison Serve as School Assessment Coordinator for all state assessments Other duties as deemed appropriate by building principal Requirements:
Candidate must possess or be able to obtain appropriate licensing from the Colorado Department of Education. MA degree in guidance and counseling strongly preferred. Teaching experience strongly preferred. Strongly preferred that candidate is a team player willing to go above and beyond basic contractual requirements.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary range is $31,304.35-$38,869.56 per year
as of the time of this posting
depending on education, years of experience, and professional development credits. The Licensed Salary Schedule will be updated in late spring 2025. See the Licensed Salary Schedule under the
