The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) is seeking an energetic individual interested in learning about activating effective and engaging world-class events through hands-on experience. Under the direction of the Sr. Director of Major Events, the Events Manager position will help coordinate the creation and production of events. What You'll Do
This position is responsible for supporting TAG’s signature events. The Manager supports and collaborates with the Senior Director of Events. This position is responsible for supporting logistics, communications, promotions and other engagement strategies to increase overall awareness and participation in the above-mentioned events. Effective project management skills, solution orientation, and internal and external communications are vital to the success of this role. The Manager also serves as a liaison to TAG members, partners, speakers, sponsors and vendors. Additionally, the Manager oversees and helps coordinate the delivery of benefits to TAG event partners and sponsors. Specific Responsibilities include: Manage event related communications, including emails, promotional copy, speaker acknowledgements and confirmations, event follow up (thank-you, attendee surveys, and attendee/sponsor requests). Own and maintain Event Committee planning decks, ensuring they are up-to-date and effectively support event strategy. Assist in supporting event logistics (pre-, day-of, and post-), including coordinating run-of show, vendor management, and on-site execution. Track event registrations and field volunteer and attendee requests, ensuring a seamless experience for all. Coordinate with speakers and panels, including scheduling prep calls, content coordination, and presentation logistics. Assist in coordinating and facilitating planning meetings, capturing key takeaways and action items. Attend all major events and required society events, providing onsite execution and management. Gather data and create reports, such as applications for speakers, awards, and post-event analysis. Maintain proficient use of Association’s CRM, ensuring accurate data tracking and engagement reporting. What You Bring
Proven experience in event management, strategic communications, marketing, managing volunteers. Preferred: Minimum of 2 years in event management in a member-facing organization. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent project management skills. Proven experience and excellent skills with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a changing environment and still meet deadlines. Polished and professional when dealing with members, prospective members, sponsors, speakers, vendors, and executive management. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong desire to learn along with professional drive. WordPress, Canva, and Sprout Social experience a plus. Bachelor's degree in hospitality, Business or Marketing. What We Offer
