Solaris HealthCare is seeking a QA Infection Control RN to join our amazing team!
Purpose of QA Infection Control RN:
Provides nursing care within scope of practice to insureresident's needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physicianorders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and localguidelines. Currently licensed as an RN. The Infection Control RN isresponsible for coordinating the implementation and updating of our establishedinfection prevention and control policies and practices.
Working Conditions Works in areas throughout Solaris HealthCare Some exposure to disagreeable conditionsincluding odor and infection Moves frequently during working hours Is subject to frequent interruptions Works with residents, families and other healthcare staff members Is subject to hostile and emotionally upsetresidents, family members, etc. Communicates with the medical staff, nursingservice, and other department directors Works beyond normal working hours, on weekends,and in other positions temporarily, when necessary. Is subject to call backduring emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster,etc.) Attends and participates in continuingeducational programs Is subject to exposure to infectious waste,diseases, conditions, etc., including TB and the AIDS and Hepatitis B viruses.May be subject to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals Education
Currently licensed as an RN in this state. CPR Certified.
Experience
One year prior nursing experience preferred.
