General Summary
We are looking for someone who can act as the Cultural Center of Qualcomm's Government Affairs Division. Someone with experience working with Government officials and knowledge of Washington DC, along with traditional administrative duties.
They will provide complex and advanced administrative assistance to our SVP, and occasionally C-suite executives. This includes applying advanced knowledge of industry standards, policies, guidelines, and procedures. Proficiency in software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and shared file services (SharePoint, MS Teams, OneDrive) is essential to support effectively. The role requires exercising professional and ethical judgment, as work may be of a critical or confidential nature. Assignments may vary across different functional areas.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of administrative experience, or
- Associate's degree with 6+ years, or
- High School Diploma with 8+ years. Advanced degrees may substitute for experience (Master’s = 1 year, Doctorate = 2 years).
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years interacting with SVPs
- 5+ years in a global, matrixed organization
- Beltway experience and international travel booking experience
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Support to VP, SVP, and C-suite executives
- Guide other administrative staff on policies and procedures
- Prepare complex correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, and presentations
- Manage calendars and prioritize schedules
- Handle office tasks, travel arrangements, and expense reports
- Coordinate meetings and events
- Suggest improvements to administrative processes
