Job Title:
Research Associate – Co-Ordinator Duration:
6 Months (with possible extension) Job Summary: We are seeking a
Research Associate
to support chemical characterization of materials used in medical devices. This includes identifying and quantifying polymeric materials, chemical constituents, and processing residues. Key Responsibilities: Conduct chemical testing on medical devices (e.g., IV sets, containers, pumps). Identify and quantify materials of construction and associated chemical substances. Analyze leachables and extractables. Operate analytical instruments like GC-MS, LC-MS, HPLC, TLC, ICP-MS. Follow pharmacopeial guidelines (e.g., EP 3.1.5, 3.1.14) and company SOPs. Maintain lab notebooks and ensure good documentation practices. Write protocols, perform tests, analyze results, and create detailed reports. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in polymer chemical characterization. Proficiency with analytical tools: GC-MS, LC-MS, HPLC, TLC, ICP-MS. Technical Skills: Chemical testing using GC, HPLC, TLC. Understanding of pharmacopeial and company test procedures. Strong data analysis and reporting skills. Seniority level
