to enhance operational efficiency, we'd love to connect with you! As our DevOps Lead, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS. You will champion best practices in CI/CD, security, and operations, ensuring our development teams can deliver innovative learning games smoothly and securely. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining a resilient and performant platform, and you'll have the opportunity to explore and integrate AI-driven solutions to optimize our DevOps practices. What You'll Do: Manage Cloud Infrastructure:
Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure on AWS, leveraging services such as ECS, Cloudfront, EC2, VPC, RDS, and WAF. Lead CI/CD and Automation:
Develop and manage robust CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab CI/CD and Terraform to automate application building, testing, and deployment. Champion Security Best Practices:
Implement and manage security measures across our infrastructure using tools like AWS Security Hub, Guard Duty, Secrets Manager, IAM, and WAF. Integrate and manage SIEM solutions. Identity and Access Management:
Configure and manage identity solutions including Microsoft Entra ID, SAML, and OAuth to ensure secure access to our systems and applications. Monitoring and Operations:
Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting using AWS CloudWatch and other relevant tools to ensure system health and performance. Manage Ubuntu-based server environments. AI in DevOps:
Actively research, evaluate, and implement AI tools and techniques to improve automation, predictive analysis, security, and overall operational efficiency. Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with engineering, QA, and production to understand their needs, provide operational support, and ensure smooth delivery of our learning games. Documentation:
Create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, processes, and security configurations. Cost Optimization:
Monitor and optimize cloud computing and SaaS costs while maintaining performance and reliability. Onboard: Ensure that employees and contractors are given access to appropriate systems. Conduct periodic user access reviews. Who We're Looking For: Deep expertise with AWS services including: ECS, Cloudfront, EC2, AWS CLI, CloudWatch, Security Hub, Guard Duty, Secrets Manager, VPC, RDS, and WAF. Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform. Solid experience with CI/CD tools, specifically Gitlab CI/CD. Hands-on experience with Linux administration. In-depth knowledge of IAM, and experience with identity federation technologies like Microsoft Entra ID, SAML, and OAuth. Experience implementing and managing SIEM solutions. A proactive mindset towards security and a strong understanding of cloud security best practices. Demonstrable experience as an early adopter and implementer of AI tools, particularly within a DevOps or operational context. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Bonus Points: Experience with AWS CDK. Experience in the game development or education technology industry. Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional). Experience with containerization technologies beyond ECS (e.g., Kubernetes). Minimum Qualifications: Associates Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent training. 4 years of professional experience in backend web development or DevOps roles. You will be required to complete a take-home skill assessment in order to be considered after the preliminary interview. Seniority level
