Overview
Design, develop, and maintain iOS applications that integrate with our insulin pump devices to enable users to manage their diabetes effectively. Collaborate with engineers, managers, and UX/UI designers to create seamless and intuitive mobile applications. Write clean, maintainable, and high-quality code that emphasizes performance, reliability, and user experience. Ensure our iOS applications comply with medical device standards, regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO), and data security protocols. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize the performance of applications running on various iOS devices. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from initial planning through release and ongoing maintenance. Stay current with the latest iOS development trends, medical device regulations, and best practices in mobile health applications. Collaborate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to industry standards. Develop features that enhance user experience, such as real-time data display, alerts, and intuitive user interfaces for diabetes management. Qualifications
Proven experience as an iOS developer with at least 4 years of experience in building and shipping iOS applications, ideally in the healthcare or medical device sector. Strong proficiency in Swift and experience with common iOS frameworks (UIKit, CoreData, CoreBluetooth, etc.). Experience with Swift patterns such as actors, async/await, closures, protocols, generics, and other advanced features to write clean and efficient code. Solid experience with SwiftUI for building modern, responsive user interfaces. Experience with common mobile application architecture patterns. Knowledge of Apple’s design guidelines, human interface standards, and accessibility principles. Strong understanding of security practices related to mobile app development, preferably in the context of healthcare (e.g., HIPAA, data encryption). Experience working with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications with backend systems. Familiarity with testing frameworks (XCTest, Swift Testing) and experience with unit and integration testing for mobile apps. Ability to collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team and communicate complex technical ideas. Passion for healthcare technology and improving patient outcomes through innovation. Additional Skills and Knowledge
Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) or wearable technology integration. Knowledge of FDA regulations and medical device software compliance. Familiarity with continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Background in Agile or Scrum development methodologies. Familiar with SwiftData for data management and integration in iOS applications. Note : Only local applicants with the legal right to live and work in the US will be considered for this position. Compensation : The pay range for this position is $140,000 - $166,000 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on several factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
