Establish and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the diabetes space, fostering scientific exchange and collaboration. Medical Information:
Serve as a credible source of medical information, responding to inquiries from healthcare professionals, researchers, and other stakeholders. Scientific Support:
Provide scientific support for Sequel Med Tech's insulin pump, ensuring a thorough understanding of the product's clinical profile and positioning within the diabetes therapeutic landscape. Clinical Education:
Deliver scientific presentations to healthcare professionals, conveying the clinical evidence and benefits of Sequel Med Tech's insulin pump. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Research and Development, and Regulatory Affairs, to contribute medical insights and support strategic initiatives. Advisory Board Participation:
Facilitate and participate in advisory boards, symposia, and other scientific forums to gather insights and disseminate information. Clinical Research Support:
Provide support for clinical research activities, collaborating with investigators, and contributing to the design and execution of clinical studies. Market Intelligence:
Stay abreast of scientific literature, clinical guidelines, and competitor landscape to provide valuable insights to internal teams. Minimum Requirements Nursing degree or advanced degree in a medical or scientific field (MD, PharmD, PhD). Previous clinical experience in diabetes is a plus. Previous experience as a Medical Science Liaison in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry, with a focus on diabetes. Lives within 30 miles of a major airport in the state of California. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities In-depth knowledge of the diabetes therapeutic area, including familiarity with current treatment guidelines and emerging trends. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex scientific information. Proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and KOLs. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel, both within defined regional territory and nationally for conferences and other engagements, 60% of the time. Environmental/Safety/Physical Work Conditions Ensures environmental consciousness and safe practices are exhibited in decisions. Use of computer and telephone equipment and other related office accessories/devices to complete assignments. May work extended hours during peak business cycles.
