Front End Shopify Developer
Salary: $75/hour
Job Type: Contract (15-20 hours per week)
Location: Remote
Are you a talented and motivated Shopify developer looking for contract opportunities? Stately is seeking a Front End Shopify Developer Contractor to join our team. As a contractor, you will collaborate with our development team on various Shopify projects, contributing your expertise to build and enhance our clients' online stores.
About You
You’re an experienced Shopify theme developer looking for an exciting opportunity to help build an innovative customer experience. Our custom Shopify theme is built with Liquid, JavaScript, and various platform API integrations. The ideal hire has a background working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and a strong proficiency in writing Shopify sections with beautiful CSS and modern JavaScript, including experience working with frameworks and APIs. Roles and Responsibilities
Collaborating with our Head of Technology, Head of Growth, UX designer, and other key stakeholders to develop innovative experiences that scale. Building out Shopify sections and landing pages using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Building out new functionality with our custom Shopify theme and updating existing components as needed in line with performance and ADA requirements. Writing clean, optimized code and adhering to best practices. Troubleshooting and resolution tracking while reducing product risk. Participating in daily stand-up meetings to review progress. Work remotely or join us in our Fullerton, CA office. Your schedule will need to overlap within our standard 9am-5pm PT working hours. What Your Experience Looks Like
5+ years front end development experience writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. 3+ years of proven Shopify eCommerce theme development experience through professional work and strong familiarity with Liquid, Shopify’s templating language. Experience working within an engineering team in an iterative, fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to build engineering initiatives that scale. Solid understanding of version control systems, particularly Git. High attention to detail and QA in alignment with defined acceptance criteria. Bonus Points if You Have Experience with:
Shopify checkout extensibility. eCommerce Subscriptions (we currently use Recharge). Tailwind CSS. Shopify backend / API experience. How to Apply
