Heavy Equipment Operator/Mechanic
Job Summary
The Heavy Equipment Operator/Mechanic requires expertise in operating and maintaining heavy machinery while also possessing strong mechanical skills for servicing small engines, including lawn mowers, blowers, weed eaters, and other landscaping equipment. The operator/mechanic will be a hands-on professional with a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of equipment to ensure peak operational efficiency.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, bulldozers, graders, and other machinery for construction, excavation, and site preparation, in a construction, excavation, or related field.
- Experience repairing and maintaining small engines and landscaping equipment that require strong mechanical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting engines, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with tools and diagnostic equipment for heavy machinery and small engines.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CDL license.
Additional Information
Position is located at Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs, AR.
Salary Information: $46,383 (Commensurate with education and experience)
