Overview
Marquis Sales and Marketing, a manufacturer's representative agency, is currently seeking a candidate that is motivated, well organized and who has a deep understanding of prospecting and developing strong relationships with our customer base in the building industry to drive sales in the New York market.
Responsibilities
- Must have strong public speaking skills and be able to conduct product demonstrations to customer base on jobsites, at tradeshows, and in office settings
- Track projects with our CRM database, along with ability to enter sales data to report back to our manufacturers represented.
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Must live or be willing to relocate in the Eastern New York area.. Occasional travel outside of this region will be required. Must be able to travel by ground or by air.
- Strong communication and multi-tasking skills
- Must have a reliable vehicle to travel through the territory daily.
- Knowledge of MS Office
- Marketing, Business or Architectural Degree preferred
- An interest in the home building trade is a must. Building products knowledge and/or installation a major plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to lift and transport heavy equipment (40 lbs)
- Overnight travel will be required.
- Must have a clean background check and MVR (motor vehicle report)
