Overview
PLDR Law seeks to add a motivated, experienced, team-oriented attorney to our Danville office to make an immediate impact in our growing, 13-attorney firm.
You’ll join a family law team that is dynamic and focused on providing personalized, sophisticated counsel to clients facing myriad challenges. Our practice includes all issues related to families and children, including (but not limited to): divorce and spousal support; pre-nuptial, property settlement, and separation agreements; child custody, support, and visitation issues; protective orders; adoption and paternity issues; termination of parental rights; and guardianships and conservatorships. Our ideal candidate is an excellent teammate and has the drive and polish to market their own practice while also supporting our efforts to build systems that ensure we are the most effective, efficient, and strategic in our work, much of which is complex.
PLDR Law offers a competitive salary and compensation package with additional incentive opportunities. With two locations in Lynchburg and Danville, Virginia, we offer candidates a unique opportunity to participate in a professional legal operation while living in a comfortable, relaxed, and community-centered environment. This position will be based in our Danville office with the expectation that a successful candidate will live within a thirty-minute drive of this office.
We put the client experience and relationship with our firm first, above all else, and we’re looking for an attorney who enjoys:
· Working directly with clients to create legal strategies with them in person and on the phone/video
· Working as part of a team, performing the actions within your job description and responsibilities but also assisting other team members when needed
· Legal technology and innovation
· Pushing against the status quo, not just doing things the way they've "always been done"
· Always doing the right thing for clients, no matter what
· Accomplishing clear performance expectations
· Open and transparent feedback and communication, and being rewarded for exceeding expectations
Salary Range:
Starting salary commensurate with experience; minimum of $90,000.00.
Responsibilities:
· Providing a comprehensive, anticipatory, and enjoyable experience for our clients
· Guiding new and existing clients through legal strategies that will be in their best interests
· Contributing to the success of the team even if it means going outside of your job description
· Contributing to our solid team culture and lean, efficient operations
· Helping to grow the firm's presence throughout the region
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have experience working in firms with relationship-driven client operations, meeting with clients and involvement in consultation meetings, counseling clients on best practices and legal compliance, and a record of success moving clients through all aspects of family law matters in Juvenile & Domestic Relations and Circuit Courts throughout the region and specifically in Danville and Pittsylvania County.
They will be driven to exceed expectations and contribute to the growth of the firm in a meaningful way and will have the following qualifications:
· Licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia
· At least 3 years of direct experience working in family law
· High emotional intelligence
· Business and tech-savvy, or a quick learner
· Experience, and comfort, with one-on-one consultation meetings with clients
