Hardware Engineer, SSD Memory Systems
MEMKOR is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Hardware Engineer specializing in Solid-State Drive (SSD) Memory Systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and integration of cutting-edge SSD systems into Military embedded systems, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability.
The successful candidate will design enclosures, heat sinks, and other mechanical components that ensure optimal performance, thermal management, ruggedization, and integration into customer operating environments.
Key Responsibilities
- System Architecture Design: Lead the design and development of SSD-based memory systems with a focus on performance, efficiency, and reliability.
- Hardware Development (Mechanical & Electronics): Oversee the design and development of both mechanical components (e.g., enclosures, thermal solutions) and electronic hardware (e.g., PCB layout, power management) to meet rigorous military-grade specifications.
- Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of SSD hardware development projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and coordination across teams.
- Customer Engagement: Engage with clients to gather requirements and ensure that SSD solutions meet their needs and performance expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Mechanical CAD Design: Create and optimize mechanical designs for custom SSD solutions, including enclosures, cooling solutions, and form-factor adjustments to meet specific customer requirements. Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar platforms for custom mechanical designs.
- Independent: Capable of working independently, taking initiative, and driving projects to completion with minimal supervision.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in resolving complex system issues.
- Team Player: Excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

FPGA Engineer
We are currently looking for experienced FPGA engineers/developers to join our growing team and help us continue to push the boundaries of what is possible.
As an FPGA developer at MEMKOR, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and technologies, and collaborate with a talented and motivated team of professionals. You will be responsible for developing FPGA-based solutions for our next-generation mission critical Defense and Aerospace targeted products.
Looking for individuals experienced in end-to-end FPGA design implementation starting from requirement definition, architecture, code generation, simulation, synthesis, testing and card assembly design. You will collaborate with our elite software development team working on emerging and advanced products designed for innovative applications. The focus of this position is the design and implementation of our new IPs, combined with the smart selection and integration of 3rd party IPs into the FPGA, with an objective to minimize development time and deliver leading edge products.

Skills and Experience:
- 7+ years of FPGA design
- Master’s Degree in Engineering
- Extensive experience with VHDL/Verilog/RTL including coding, simulation, debugging, synthesis, timing analysis
- Strong background in Xilinx, Microsemi and/or other FPGA toolsets
- Experience with Error Correction, PCIe, TMR
- Experience with schematic and circuit board layout design and tools
