Job Title: Marketing Intern
Department: Marketing
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary: The Marketing Intern will assist the team with a variety of marketing tasks, including event preparation, content creation, market research, and competitive analysis. The intern will support major industry events like the Farm Progress Show, AUSA, Global Polymer Summit, and GVSETS, while helping to build brand awareness for St. Marys Rubber. This internship offers hands-on experience in marketing, with opportunities to contribute to key projects across different areas.
Responsibilities:
Assist with preparations for major events such as the Farm Progress Show, AUSA, Global Polymer Summit, and GVSETS.
Create and prepare social media content to engage and inform audiences.
Conduct competitive analysis and gather market insights to identify potential customers for commercial products.
Contribute to the development of the Trackman Sales Manual and Trackman product reference guide.
Help produce and distribute the company newsletter.
Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and design artwork for marketing campaigns.
Support project management efforts by reviewing action registers and ensuring deadlines are met.
Manage event registrations and assist with messaging and marketing materials.
Assist in the development and execution of a marketing campaign to increase brand awareness for St. Marys Rubber.
Create and update LinkedIn content for Trackman and legacy LOC brands.
Perform benchmarking and competitive analysis to stay informed about market trends.
Assist with ongoing projects and contribute to the overall marketing strategy.
Competencies:
Strong creative and content creation skills for social media and marketing materials.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.).
Ability to conduct market research and competitive analysis effectively.
Team player with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow in the marketing field.
Ability to think strategically and contribute ideas to marketing campaigns.
Detail-oriented with an ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Education and/or Experience:
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Background Prerequisites:
Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks and controlled substance testing.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
