$34.50/hr - $39.65/hr Sign On:
$3,000 signing bonus available to external hires new to MHS employment, contingent upon satisfaction of employment requirements. Position Summary: The Surgery Technician scrubs for surgical procedures in the Operating Room as assigned under the supervision of a RN. The Surgery Technician Per Diem provides safe cost-effective patient care throughout the preoperative, intra-operative, and post-operative periods to the Operating Room patient according to established LBMC standards. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Consistently applies infection control policies and procedures. Demonstrates knowledge of the clinical information system and applies principles to patient documentation. Meets population specific competencies. Attends department specific education, training, inservices, and staff meetings. Provides preoperative, intra-operative, and post-operative care. Uses surgical equipment safely to prevent patient or personal injury. Ability to be at work and be on time. Provides care in a safe and cost-effective manner. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: Qualifications/Work Experience Experience as a surgical technician in the OR is preferable. Education / Licensure / Certification Graduation from surgical technician program or equivalent training. Current American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate.
