Position Highlights:
Be part of a large pediatric group dedicated to professional fulfillment.
Flexibility with various position types available: PRN, Part Time, and Full Time.
Multiple locations ready to serve children and families.
The Pediatric Hospitalist Physician will deliver exceptional pediatric care to patients at designated hospitals or program sites as directed by the Program Director. The physician is expected to adhere to all hospital bylaws, rules, regulations, and policies while providing care.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the admission, treatment, and discharge processes for pediatric patients in collaboration with attending physicians—no long-term inpatient care involved.
Conduct evaluations and necessary procedures as guided by the Glennon Care Pediatrics Medical Director.
Respond to pediatric patient requests from the facility's Emergency Department for evaluation and treatment.
Participate in high-risk deliveries at the Program Site's labor and delivery room.
Attend normal deliveries upon request, except during times of higher acuity elsewhere in the facility.
Maintain availability during scheduled shifts to provide care for neonates in the nursery and consult with neonatologists as needed.
Respond to pediatric consult requests from other medical departments.
Work collaboratively with advanced practice nurses (APN) and the Program team to ensure continuity and quality of patient care.
