$35.20 - $37.19/Hour
Summary: The Client is looking for a Data Analyst at its headquarters in Thousand Oaks to support the development and maintenance of visual management systems and business intelligence tools.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Support data collection from different project teams.
- Connect data sources, including but not limited to Power BI, MS Excel, MS Project and Smartsheet.
- Maintain a centralized data repository that feeds into various Power BI platforms.
- Develop accessible dashboards and reports for governance meetings and leadership reviews, that are fluid and can be modified promptly as programs evolve.
- Automate data flows across the company network where feasible.
- Identify inconsistencies in data and support teams to address associated issues.
- Assist with documentation storage to ensure compliance and withstand audit requirements.
- Establish and maintain positive business relationships with team members and partners.
- Proactively identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiency gains.
Skills:
- Educational background in Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 3+ years of work experience building data systems and coordinating data flows.
- Robust understanding of and experience with Power BI is a must.
- Preference for experience in other visualization tools, including but not limited to Sensing and Tableau.
- MS Office and SharePoint proficiency.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong collaboration skills in a diverse culture; ability to effectively work with others with different communication styles and technical areas of expertise.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable.
- Self-starter with the ability to respond promptly to requests and concurrently manage several projects or assignments.
Top 3 Must Have Skill Sets:
- Robust understanding of and experience with Power BI is a MUST.
- Preference for experience in other visualization tools, including but not limited to Sensing and Tableau.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills (must have strong critical thinking skills and be able to think outside of the box) - look at current processes and make recommendations/suggestions.
Pay Transparency:
The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is $35.20 - $37.19 per hour. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience, and the benefits package you select. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
