B.S. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent. Experience:
5+ years developing flight deck avionics, navigation, communication systems. Regulatory and Standards Knowledge Familiarity with DO-160, DO-178, DO-254 Working knowledge researching TOSA, MOPS, and Advisory Circulars for products. Understanding of FAA certification requirements for avionics. Technical Proficiency: Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., Polarion, JAMA). Ability todefine system requirements for moderate-to-complex avionics systems. Proficiency in JIRA for tracking project progress. Experience with Microsoft Office, Visio, AutoCAD. Preferred Qualifications Pilots License or operational aircraft experience Experience in Cybersecurity methods or related experience. Have led a medium complexity project in the past to successful completion. Be a subject matter expert in a field of avionics (preferred candidate will have prior FMS experience). Awareness of industry trends. Experience mentoring less experienced engineers.
