Job Description Job Title: Occupational Therapist - Home Health
Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation
Specialty: Occupational Therapy in Acute Care Hospital
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day
Hours per Shift: 8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30)
Experience: 1-2 years
License: Pending state license accepted
Certifications: MOAB, BLS
Must-Have: COVID vaccination required with accepted religious and medical exemptions
Description:
MOAB Certification is required. If the traveler does not have MOAB certification, they will receive a 4-hour de-escalation course during their first week. If they do not pass, their contract may be up for cancellation. No RQI certifications required. Home Health travelers will be required to do a second set of fingerprints upon arrival in case there are children in homes. Types of required cases: Adults and Geriatrics. 8-12 patients assigned. First-time travelers accepted. No weekend requirement. Clinician may float within the scope to meet facility needs. No locals within 75 miles accepted. Mileage is reimbursed at .655 per mile. Clinician must have a (non-local) driver's license. They must provide a written statement outlining their transportation plan to and from the hospital if they do not have a valid driver's license. Personal transportation is required due to its location; public transportation and ride-sharing are not available. If not yet MOAB certified, the traveler will take a course during the first week. If the traveler does not pass, their contract will immediately be terminated. Travelers can work up to 12 consecutive months before needing a break between assignments. Compliance information requires candidates to be fully available and ready to work on compliance in the first 1-2 weeks after signing. Drug screens are required to be completed within 30 days of starting. Modules are billable up to 4 hours, any time spent on modules beyond 4 hours is non-billable. Modules are completed during orientation and annually.
