WASTE WATER OPERATOR
Mon Valley Sewage Authority is currently accepting applications for a WASTEWATER OPERATOR. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated wastewater operator to join our team. The operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining wastewater facilities to ensure safe and efficient service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate and maintain wastewater treatment facilities in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Perform custodial duties and grounds maintenance as needed.
- Painting and upkeep of equipment and buildings.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the efficient and effective operation of wastewater treatment facilities.
- Operate a forklift and pallet jack.
- Respond to alarms and emergency situations.
- Perform other duties assigned by the CHIEF OPERATOR OR GENERAL MANAGER.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Possess or obtain within 4 years, PA wastewater license class B,E and subclass 1,4.
- The ability to perform heavy lifting, stooping, kneeling, and climbing to various heights is a must.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- This is a union job subject to collective bargaining agreement.
