Make your career in metal at Maysteel! We are seeking a Lift Truck Operator responsible for assisting in production work within our facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment, including the use of personal protective equipment and proper operation of lift trucks.
• Obtain Maysteel Forklift Certification and Crane Operation Certification.
• Start up and shut down equipment.
• Familiarize yourself with tools and instrumentation.
• Clean the production area (sweep, mop, remove debris).
• Load and unload items from machines, carts, and dollies.
• Feed or place items onto equipment for processing.
• Mark parts for identification.
• Dispose of scrap waste material into proper dumpsters.
• Load and unload delivery trucks, ensuring deliveries match purchase orders.
• Follow instructions from management and supervisors.
• Conserve resources to minimize waste.
• Work from routings, instruction sheets, blueprints, and visual aids to produce quality products.
• Monitor inventory levels in collaboration with the materials team.
• Assist in identifying missing products during delivery.

Education and Experience

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Entry-level position with training provided. Must have strong attention to detail.

Physical Demands

Frequently lift, carry, push, pull, grip, and grasp up to 35 lbs. May need to bend, twist, reach, and stand or walk for up to 8-10 hours daily.

Work Environment

Moderate to high noise levels typical of manufacturing facilities. Collaborate with operators, buyers, planners, and management to support production activities.
