48162 Job Summary: Join our team as a Warehouse Selector, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive their products accurately and efficiently. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you'll hand-build pallets and load products onto trailers, adhering to the highest standards set by our company and customers. Responsibilities: Efficiently read pick sheets and navigate to the correct warehouse locations using a pallet jack. Accurately pick product types and quantities, label them, and organize them on pallets for loading onto trucks while ensuring compliance with company standards. Follow food safety procedures by conducting visual inspections and minimizing product cross-contamination. Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment, addressing spills and disposing of trash appropriately. Communicate effectively with management regarding any issues, including product concerns and safety matters. Safely operate company equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks while adhering to company safety standards. Report equipment malfunctions to the management team. Complete necessary paperwork and utilize a wearable computer for productivity reporting. Exhibit regular attendance, working scheduled hours and overtime as needed to support workload demands. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent degree. Experience: Preferred 6 months of previous warehouse experience or equivalent work experience. Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Forklift and pallet jack license or certification. Professional Skills: Solid understanding of safe lifting procedures and food safety guidelines. Ability to build pallets of products quickly, accurately, and safely. Skilled in operating forklifts and pallet jacks, with capacity to maneuver in tight spaces. Capacity to meet minimum productivity levels set by the company. Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English regarding job and safety regulations. Adept at performing basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Ability to solve problems and carry out instructions based on verbal, written, or visual directives. Comfortable wearing personal protective equipment, such as safety shoes. Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, kneel, and communicate. Must frequently lift and/or move items weighing 50 - 90 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception. Work Environment: Regular exposure to various temperature conditions such as heat and extreme cold. Frequent encounters with moving mechanical parts and high places.
