Managers In Training will learn how to successfully manage the day-to-day responsibilities of running an EG America convenience store location from our finest leaders. You will spend time with a Training Manager and Supervising Manager during your training, working various shifts to learn about our company, our retail team, our vendors, and our guests. This role supports the Store Manager and other team members in delivering an exceptional guest shopping experience. Training Process During official training weeks, Managers In Training work alongside Training Managers, gaining insight and best practices for managing a convenience store location. During supervisory weeks, Managers In Training work a variety of shifts, putting their leadership training into practice. After training, Managers In Training become part of our bench leadership team, helping to fill in during absences until assigned to their own store. Looking for growth opportunities? We are known for delivering exceptional Customer Service! Assist Store Manager with building and developing a strong store team: training, scheduling, and coaching team members. Lead by setting clear goals, holding self and others accountable, and communicating effectively. Monitor product levels, rotate stock, and ensure shelves are fully stocked. Our guests rely on us to be 100% in-stock. Oversee quality control, merchandising, and food safety programs in locations with hot food. Maintain store cleanliness and appearance, including the coffee station, food area, and bathrooms. Delegate and complete tasks as needed. Operate the cash register efficiently. Assist with food service operations, overseeing quality, safety, and merchandising. Perform other duties as assigned. High School or GED Minimum Experience:
1 year retail or food experience Preferred Experience:
1 year in retail, guest service, or restaurant in a leadership role Preferred Licenses/Certifications:
ServSafe/Food Safety certification is a plus but not mandatory Soft Skills: Comfortable interacting with guests and team members High energy Ability to switch between activities quickly Team-oriented and willing to help others Helpful computer skills Scheduling:
Full-time position with varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Hours & Conditions:
40 hours/week with 5 hours overtime maximum. Travel:
5%. Must be able to deliver deposits independently and have a vehicle. Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, stand/walk for 8 hours, and work in cold temperatures. Other:
Specialized attire required in food establishments (hats, gloves, etc.).
