7on/7off

Position Summary:
As a
Medical Laboratory Technician , you will play a key role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by performing high-complexity testing in a fast-paced, critical access setting. This role requires generalist experience and adaptability across various laboratory disciplines including Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, and Blood Bank.
Responsibilities: Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests and procedures across multiple departments
Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation
Collect and prepare specimens for analysis
Record and analyze data accurately, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
Communicate effectively with physicians and nursing staff regarding test results
Participate in quality control and proficiency testing programs
Ensure a clean, safe, and organized working environment
Provide support during inspections and audits
Rotate weekend and holiday coverage as assigned Schedule:
Nights: 7on/7off

ASAP Education & Certification Requirements:
Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent from a NAACLS-accredited program
MLT (ASCP)
or
MLT (AMT)
certification
required
Active
Alabama MLT license
(or ability to obtain)
1+ years of generalist experience preferred
Experience in critical access or rural hospital settings a plus
