Overview
We are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist for pediatric and general practice to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide quality dental care and patient education in a professional dental office setting.
Duties
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide post-operative instructions
- Assist dentists during procedures as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems like Epic
- Sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Conduct oral cancer screenings
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and quality patient care
Qualifications
- Degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- Knowledge of general dentistry procedures and pediatric dentistry practices
- Familiarity with dental terminology, office procedures, and medical coding
