Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join our esteemed team in Columbia, MD. As a Senior Engineer, you will lead and manage fire protection projects, working closely with clients, project teams, and regulatory authorities to deliver innovative and effective solutions. Responsibilities include overseeing the design and implementation of fire protection systems, conducting complex analyses, and providing technical guidance throughout all project phases. Key Responsibilities: Lead project teams in the design and analysis of fire protection systems, including fire suppression, alarm, and life safety. Conduct advanced life safety analysis, hydraulic calculations, fire hazard assessments, and risk analyses. Prepare and review detailed technical reports, drawings, and specifications in compliance with industry codes and standards. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring effective communication and project delivery. Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and project success. Conduct thorough site inspections and commissioning to verify adherence to design specifications and safety standards. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical expertise and guidance. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire protection engineering or related field, with a proven track record of project leadership. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Proficiency in fire protection design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, HydraCAD). Expert knowledge of NFPA codes and standards, ICC codes, and local building/fire codes. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and teams effectively. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client management skills. Seniority level:
