Are you a seasoned professional with a keen eye for details and a passion for numbers? Do you have a knack for payroll processing and a solid understanding of financial regulations? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are seeking a Payroll Specialist who will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll for our client. This is a dynamic role that will challenge and reward you, offering the chance to showcase your skills in a fast-paced financial environment.
Responsibilities:
As a Payroll Specialist, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that are crucial to our company's success. These include:
- Managing and processing multiple clients' payrolls accurately and timely.
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
- Calculating and entering of special payouts including bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
- Reviewing timesheets for accuracy and resolving any discrepancies.
- Responding to payroll-related inquiries and resolving concerns.
- Coordinating with HR department to ensure correct employee data.
- Preparing reports for upper management, finance department, and auditors.
- Staying current on payroll systems to achieve alignment with HR benefits and other related and to ensure effective accounting support.
- Facilitating audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and policy development and engage in the implementation.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Payroll Specialist role, candidates must have:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a payroll position, ideally within a consulting environment.
- Proficiency in timesheet management and payroll software.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.
- Strong work ethic and team player.
- High degree of professionalism.
- Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.
- Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills.
- Ability to communicate with various levels of management.
- Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
