If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are seeking a Payroll Specialist who will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll for our client. This is a dynamic role that will challenge and reward you, offering the chance to showcase your skills in a fast-paced financial environment.

Responsibilities:

As a Payroll Specialist, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that are crucial to our company's success. These include:

  1. Managing and processing multiple clients' payrolls accurately and timely.
  2. Ensuring compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
  3. Calculating and entering of special payouts including bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
  4. Reviewing timesheets for accuracy and resolving any discrepancies.
  5. Responding to payroll-related inquiries and resolving concerns.
  6. Coordinating with HR department to ensure correct employee data.
  7. Preparing reports for upper management, finance department, and auditors.
  8. Staying current on payroll systems to achieve alignment with HR benefits and other related and to ensure effective accounting support.
  9. Facilitating audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
  10. Identifying opportunities for process improvement and policy development and engage in the implementation.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Payroll Specialist role, candidates must have:

  1. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a payroll position, ideally within a consulting environment.
  2. Proficiency in timesheet management and payroll software.
  3. Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.
  4. Strong work ethic and team player.
  5. High degree of professionalism.
  6. Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.
  7. Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills.
  8. Ability to communicate with various levels of management.
  9. Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  10. Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
