Salary: $150,000 - $180,000 per year

We are currently seeking a dynamic and ambitious Permanent Senior Construction Project Manager with Estimating Experience in the Life Sciences sector. This role is an integral part of our construction team and will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering complex projects on time and within budget, with a particular focus on Life Sciences construction. Job Details

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all aspects of construction project management from planning to implementation, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  2. Apply expert knowledge of life sciences construction to manage complex projects, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest quality standards.
  3. Use estimating experience to accurately predict project costs and timelines, ensuring that projects are financially viable and profitable.
  4. Utilize Primavera P6 project management software to plan, coordinate, and monitor project activities.
  5. Act as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining excellent relationships through clear and effective communication.
  6. Work closely with the general contractor and other key stakeholders to ensure that all work is carried out according to the project blueprint.
  7. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and quality standards, taking prompt action to address any issues that arise.
  8. Use crisis management skills to effectively handle any problems that occur during the project, ensuring that they are resolved quickly and efficiently.
  9. Keep up to date with the latest developments in the construction industry and life sciences sector, using this knowledge to continually improve project delivery.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior project management role within the construction industry, with a specific focus on life sciences construction.
  2. Proven experience in tenant improvement projects and a strong understanding of the unique requirements of life sciences construction including clean rooms, chemical storage, labs, etc.
  3. Demonstrated ability to estimate project costs and timelines accurately, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  4. Proficient in Primavera P6 project management software and other relevant tools.
  5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage relationships with clients, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
  6. Strong crisis management skills, with the ability to handle unexpected issues swiftly and effectively.
  7. Familiarity with ENR quality standards and a commitment to delivering work of the highest quality.
  8. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  9. A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  10. Relevant professional certifications, such as PMP (Project Management Professional), are highly desirable.
