Virtus Healthcare Staffing seeks a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our partner hospital's Critical Care Unit in Scottsbluff, NE. This travel assignment offers an exciting opportunity to provide expert nursing care to critically ill patients in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with complex and life-threatening conditions in the ICU, utilizing advanced assessment and critical thinking skills.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Monitor and interpret complex physiological data, including vital signs, hemodynamic monitoring, and ventilator settings.
Administer medications and treatments, including vasoactive drips and critical care medications, with precision and vigilance.
Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families, fostering a compassionate and healing environment.
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care, adhering to established protocols and standards.
Qualifications:
Active RN license in the state of Nebraska or a compact state license.
Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience preferred.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work 12-hour day or night shifts.
Schedule:
3 x 12-hour shifts per week
