www.ucihealth.org.Your Role on the TeamPosition Summary:The incumbent acts as both a functional and technical leader in the development, upgrade, enhancement, and support of Clinical Information systems used in the Radiology Department. Independently maintains and manages large modules of an enterprise clinical information system or department specialty system. Facilitates decisions and work efforts which affect applications and patient care practices. Participates in the analysis and design of data communication links between systems.What It Takes to be SuccessfulRequired Qualifications:Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned dutiesMust possess a working knowledge of HL7 and other interface/integration strategiesMust have working knowledge of client/server systems, relational database structures and reporting toolsMust demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the jobMust be willing to participate in 24 hour on-call rotations as a system duty officerExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishEpic Radiant CertificationBachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to work flexible hours, including nights and weekendsAbility to self-initiate and effectively problem solve issuesAbility to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workloadAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health SystemAbility to apply logical troubleshooting and analysis techniques for the purpose of problem resolution3-5 years' experience implementing and supporting PACS and Enterprise imaging systems in a procedural / acute care settingPreferred Qualifications:Experience working on project and implementations related to Radiology dept applications.Knowledge of clinical workflow and documentation in Radiology (Order, Scheduling, Image Acquisition, and Viewing)Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and formsExperience using / implementing Radiology related applications (Dictation, image processing)Conditions of Employment:The University of California, Irvine (UCI) seeks to provide a safe and healthy environment for the entire UCI community.
