www.ucihealth.org.Your Role on the TeamPosition Summary:Incumbent fills an essential role in the overall success of UCI Health. This position serves as a strategic resource, partnering with UCI leaders and stakeholders to address complex healthcare business questions and formulate solutions. This includes leveraging internal and external data sources to assess healthcare industry and market trends, service line trends, forecasts, and demographics. The incumbent will perform market analyses, data visualization and strategic modeling, and will produce executive level presentation materials to convey data-driven insights. This position provides context and recommendations to help shape strategic direction and decision making across the enterprise. The incumbent autonomously supports several concurrent projects across various initiatives including enterprise strategic planning, service line planning, ambulatory planning, business development and partnership opportunities.What It Takes to be SuccessfulRequired Qualifications:Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage complex information, assess problems, and develop effective solutionsProficiency in Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, Access and PowerPoint, and statistical data analysis software and other desktop applicationsMust possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned dutiesMust demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the jobIn-depth knowledge of business intelligence functions, advanced analytics, industry standards and best practicesGood team leadership and motivational skills and good creative problem solving skillsExperience working with Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib, ggplot2 or similar data visualization toolsExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishEffective communicator able to understand the needs of a variety of audience members and tailor a message accordinglyBachelors degree in related area and/or equivalent experience and trainingAnalytical ability to develop, analyze and interpret application of dataAdvanced knowledge and skill in internal databases, BI applications, tools, and systems.Ability to plan, set expectations (for self and others), and accomplish multiple objectives within specific timeframes.Ability to manage risk and ambiguity on a projectAbility to maintain an organized approach, clarity of purpose, and goal orientation in a rapidly changing environment involving multiple stakeholders of various levels from throughout the organization.Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workloadAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System5 years of experience in healthcare strategy, planning, consulting, business development or related fieldPreferred Qualifications:Proficiency in mapping software, such as ArcGISKnowledge of healthcare market, government rules and regulationsConditions of Employment:The University of California, Irvine (UCI) seeks to provide a safe and healthy environment for the entire UCI community.
